March 17, 2008

As we come to the end of Winter quarter, our academic life starts to get a little busy. We have made it through the first week of our big conditioning and gymnastics push and through dead week. With finals fast approaching, we have a weekend off of competitions to focus on studying.

We all need a break from studying for a little bit, so the coaches set up flexible hours for us to come in on our own. Different final schedules and study times make it a little difficult to have team practices, but we are pretty good about keeping up our fitness and gymnastics level through this unscheduled week of practice. A lot of us have buddies that we go into the gym with to help push us and keep us motivated. The gym is also a great place to use our brains for something other than studying.

This time of season is a little stressful with finals taking over our minds and post-season coming up. Despite our brains being full of theories and equations, we keep in mind that the week after finals is Spring Break! It will be very nice to get a little break from classes and be able to refocus on our goals for the post-season.

Thanks for checking in!

Heather
