Hey Everyone! Thanks for checking in on SWG. I am around campus for the summer and it has been great to be able to train with some fellow teammates and the coaches during the off season...definitely a more motivating experience than past summers! As Lauren said, the gym is an exciting place to be. There are seven of us here for the summer and we have been trying to coordinate practice as much as possible. Some of the "locals" (Steph Carter, Tenaya, and Gretchen) come down every once in awhile too which is great. The girls who are away for the summer are also working really hard and we can't wait to all come together to train in September.
Not only are we keeping each other updated with regards to our gymnastics and conditioning, but we have also established big sis/lil sis pairs that check in regularly in addition to everyone posting on the xanga board. Both are a great way for us to get to know each other as individuals (especially with the incoming frosh) and help to start building team chemistry. Our chemistry is a huge asset and we are definitely working to cultivate that for the 08 season!
Thanks again for keeping updated on our status. You can rest assured that SWG is hard at work and will definitely be a defining force on the floor in 08, especially with 17 of us...the biggest team in Stanford history!
Have a great week!
Aimee
