Hey Stanford Fans!

This week was a true test for SWG. With our first quarter finals, we had a volunteer practice schedule this week, with each of us popping in and out of the gym. With our practices overlapping one another's it was a week without us training together as a team before we took on San Jose State University for our first intrasquad away. For the freshmen, it was our first official week of college finals! With the stress of finals over it was fun moving in with the team to a hotel and reminiscing on how quickly the first quarter has flown by. It was great to be in the gym on Friday with such a huge load off our shoulders after successfully completing our first set of finals for the year!

Our intrasquad was met with complete excitement and it was such an amazing feeling to have the entire team back together as we gathered in the Spartans' stadium to face off against San Jose. Starting on bars, our lineup was solid. With Dani leading us off with a huge routine, and ending with Brownie's more than beautiful bar set. Heading to vault our energy was unstoppable, with our cheers and constant smiles. On vault we had hugeeee vaults, with perfect bodylines and shapes. I would have to say the most enjoyable part of the entire competition was watching our floor lineup. Each one of our routines has their own unique style and our tumbling is sky high! Starting with Blair, her two and a half twist was incredible matching perfectly with her incredible smile throughout her routine. Not much needs to be said about Weedge's mind-blowing dance, and the entire audience was captivated as she performed her routine. Peach nailed her triple full and completed one of the best routines I have ever seen her do. Shelley's opening full-in was so amazing along with CJ's double Arabian. Dani finished our rotation strong as we headed even more excitedly to beam. On beam Shelley's stunning routine was a true testament of our strong beam lineup this year, and CJ's routine was flawless. As a freshman, it was so incredible to have a team who has been apart for entire week, to come together and compete as though no time has passed.

We have such a versatile and stunning team and SWG is truly unstoppable this year :! Thanks for checking in GO CARD!
