Hey SWG Fans,
The first week of post season conditioning is officially over! After two weeks off after nationals, the 2010 team (minus the ridiculously amazing freshmen we will be getting next year) was wicked excited to be back into the gym, working hard in preparation for next season. We started off our first workout with a bang, ready to dominate any conditioning thrown our way. We dressed in all black as we were mourning the loss of our three seniors and we looked like an intimidating force. I wouldn't exactly call the conditioning easy but it felt great to be back in the gym as a team and feel sore again. The combination of cardio, gym specific exercises, weight training, and active flexibility is certainly a challenge but it is something that is going to make us so much stronger for next year, and of course make us look great for bikini season!
With less time in the gym we are taking full advantage of the nice California weather. One good thing about spring quarter is that people are always outside, whether it is reading, playing Frisbee, or sunbathing by the pool or the nearest Stanford fountain. It's nice to spend some free time just hanging outside in the warm sun. With only a few weeks left of classes, it's weird to think how quickly this year has gone by and that it is already the middle of May. One thing I can say for sure is that I definitely don't want this year to end!
Thanks for checking in and for all your support this season. Go CARD!
