Hey y'all,

It was a another great week here at The Farm, filled with midterms, a special dinner for a few of us at one of the girls' dorms, and a team hangout to watch Mulan on Saturday. On the gymnastics side of things, we were all fired up, ready to get back in the gym and ready for our competition against UCLA. However, on Tuesday, we found out that UCLA would not be able to come due to sickness. UC Davis, which was competing in Washington on Friday, graciously added our meet to their schedule. We are very thankful to them that we did not have to cancel our Breast Cancer Awareness competition that was also our alumni meet. Thanks to all the alumni that were able to come and if you didn't make it we missed you! It was a lot of fun to see all the returning gymnasts and even getting to do our traditional beginning of meet cheer with them! It turned out to be a great competition for us. We received our highest score of the season, a 197.1.

There were plenty of highlights throughout the meet. Blair started us off strong on vault and finished out the meet for us on floor. We also hit 24 out of 24 routines, always a goal of ours! We had a few adds, Nikki getting to put in her Tkachev on bars and her triple series on beam. We had three E passes in our floor lineup. There were numerous outstanding routines throughout the night and the overall performance was probably our best yet. Still, I think the most exciting thing is that we have not reached our potential. We continue to get better every day in the gym (I must say our team is really really good). It is so exciting to see where we are going to be at the end of the year, putting everything we have out there for the team. Thanks for checking in, we will be working hard preparing for Senior Night, the competition coming up Sunday in Maples! Check back for updates next week!

Shelley
