Hey SWG fans,

Last weekend we traveled to Tucson, Arizona to compete against the University of Arizona. The weather was gorgeous when we arrived, and the sun was shining. We first had a two hour drive from Phoenix to our hotel in Tucson, but everybody enjoyed the delicious dinner afterwards at Pei Wei Asian Cuisine. The fortune cookies were especially educational, teaching us how to say "watermelon", "grape", and "it" in Chinese.

The next day everybody was excited for the competition. It was a breast cancer awareness meet so everybody wore pink, including the audience. Shelley and CJ were solid on vault, finishing up the rotation strong and pumping everybody up for floor. Peach (Nicole Pechanec) competed her triple full for the first time on floor and nailed it. Fee started SWG off great on both bars and floor, and dominated beam along with Nikki following soon after. In the overall team standings Stanford beat the Arizona Wildcats, even though we had a few bumps along the way. This only made SWG more motivated to get back in the gym and work hard for next weekend when we face UCLA at home. Thanks for tuning in, and I hope you join us next week!
