Can You Guess This Gymnast? Part II

Sept. 30, 2012

STANFORD, Calif. - Test your knowledge of the Stanford women's gymnastics team by guessing who wrote the following poem:

I am hardworking and perseverant
I wonder what's to come
I hear laughter
I see the view from the top of Mt. Everest
I want to live a happy and fulfilling life doing something I love
I am hardworking and perseverant

I pretend that I don't have OCD
I feel blessed
I touch velvet
I worry too much
I cry when I reminisce
I am hardworking and perseverant

I understand that I am fortunate
I say live, love, laugh
I dream of flying
I try my best
I hope to love and be loved
I am hardworking and perseverant

I am SWG Almighty
I wonder how the judges even dare take a deduction
I hear nothing but my teammates cheering
I see the calming and reassuring expressions on their faces
I want to do this for them
I am SWG Almighty

I pretend the competition does not exist
I feel the chalk upon my palms
I touch my hands together
I worry about nothing
I cry when I realize how amazing my team is
I am SWG Almighty

I understand that my teammates have my back
I say I have theirs too
I dream of our team striving towards and achieving our goal together
I try my best
I hope that this. Is. It.
I am SWG Almighty

The writer of this poem will be revealed Monday.
