Day 1 - NCAA Bound

As I walked into the gym this morning with my luggage in hand, I heard loud chattering and laughing from the locker room and immediately smiled. I walked quicker, probably with a hop-skip-and-a-jump, and eagerly headed inside to be reunited with my team getting ready to leave for NCAA National Championships near Atlanta, Ga. Even the ride to the airport was an adventure, complete with a surprise party bus, our team songs blaring, and dancing. Did I mention it was 5 a.m.? You would have thought it was prime time on a Friday night with the amount of energy and joy this team had! Typical.

Arriving in Atlanta, we enjoyed a nice team dinner and received new t-shirts that say “Stanford University Gymnastics”, “NCAA’s 2012” and “#NoRegrets.” That pretty much says it all with our down-to-business, put-it-all-out-there, straightforward attitude. We’ve been stoked with all of the surprises of the trip and we’re excited to gymnastisize at practice in the Atlanta arena tomorrow. We found it hard to contain our excitement enough to fall asleep as we adjusted to the three-hour time change and thought about the days ahead! #NoRegrets. Check back tomorrow!
