STANFORD, Calif. - Enjoy Shona’s Q&A with team manager, Tori Lewis:

Tori: How has the start of the season been going?

Shona: It’s looking really good. We’re putting together some strong, consistent routines and we have a lot of depth in the lineup. We competed in Arizona this past weekend and we did a really good job, but there’s still room for improvement, and that’s really exciting.

Tori: How is this quarter looking academically?

Shona: It’s good! It’s only been a week, but it’s good so far. I’m taking Abnormal Psychology which I’m really looking forward to because I’ve heard it’s a good class.

Tori: Do you have a favorite memory from SWG so far?

Shona: The whole experience of NCAA’s last year. Finishing fourth and coming together as a team and being really excited.

Tori: What’s your funniest SWG story?

Shona: I don’t think I would have any that would make sense! We’re all super goofy.

Tori: What do you feel was the most important lesson you learned from the preseason?

Shona: To just have fun. As long as you’re with your team, enjoying it, then you know you can get through anything.

Tori: How is your junior year different from previous years?

Shona: It’s more enjoyable in the sense that I know what I’m doing, I know what classes are going to be like, there’re no surprises so I can just relax and have fun.

Tori: The team’s motto this season is “All in. Every moment.” Can you talk about what that means to you or a particular time that motto really resonated with you?

Shona: To me, it means that whether we’re in the gym or out of the gym, we’re always thinking about our teammates and what we can do to help each other, and help ourselves to reach our fullest potential.

Tori: What are you looking forward most about the rest of season?

Shona: Getting closer to my teammates and having the feeling of building off one another when we compete.

Tori: What should we expect from the team in the upcoming meets?

Shona: You should expect us to go out there and have fun, while we showcase just how good we are.
