STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford women's golf will kick off their season Monday at the Cougar Cup Tournament at Palouse Ridge Golf Club in Pullman, Wash. The teams will play 36 holes on Monday and 18 holes Tuesday at the event hosted by Washington State University.
The 6,278 yard, par-72 course will play host to the Pac-12 Championships in April. Margot and Mitch Milias Director of Women's Golf Caroline O'Connor scheduled the event in part to ensure her team would have an opportunity to play the course before then.
All seven members of the team will travel to the tournament. All-Pac-10 second-team Kristina Wong and All-Pac-10 honorable mention Sally Watson top a lineup that includes seniors Lila Barton and Sydney Burlison and freshman Mariko Tumangan.
Sophomores Danielle Frasier and Marissa Mar will compete as individuals.
Live scoring will be available at golfstat.com.
