TEMPE, Ariz. - Stanford's women's golf team is tied for seventh after two rounds of the PING/ASU Invitational being held at the Karsten Course in Tempe, Ariz. after the Cardinal shot a team score of 298 on Saturday.

The Cardinal, which entered the day tied for second, slipped back seven spots after shooting a 14-over 298 on Saturday. Stanford trails first place UCLA by 17 strokes heading into Sunday's final round.

Texas and Texas A&M are tied for second at 574 (+6) while UC Davis and Arizona State are tied for fourth at 578 (+10).

Stanford's Sally Watson carded a even par 71 on Saturday and is tied for third place, two strokes off the pace being set by Tiffany Lau of UCLA, who is five-under at 137.

Demi Runnas of UC Davis is in second place at 138 (-4) as nine golfers are within five shots of the lead heading into Sunday's final 18 holes.

Watson, who opened the tournament with a three-under 68 on Friday, had four birdies and four bogeys on her card today. She was one-over on her round before a birdie on the 17th hole got her back to even.

Sophomore Marissa Mar is tied for fourth place at 141 (-1) after shooting a three-over 73 on Saturday. Mar opened her round with a birdie but made the turn at two over after bogeys on holes 3, 6 and 9. She picked up a birdie on hole No. 15 but gave it back with a bogey on No. 15.

Freshman Mariko Tumangan is tied for 26th at 146 after posting a 75 on Saturday.

Kristina Wong is tied for 80th at 156 (+14) after a second round 79.

Sydney Burlison, playing as an individual, shot an 79 on Saturday and is tied for 85th place at 158 (+16).

Senior Lila Barton is in 90th place at 162 (+20) after a second round 80.
