Stanford's women's golf team will resume its spring schedule on Monday at the Bruin-Wave Invitational, co-hosted by UCLA and Pepperdine at the El Caballero Country Club in Tarzana, Calif.
Teams will play 36 holes on Monday and wrap up play with 18 holes on Tuesday on the par-72, 6,131-yard El Caballero layout.
In addition to Stanford and co-hosts Pepperdine and UCLA, the 15-team field also includes Brigham Young, Cal-State Northridge, Long Beach State, New Mexico, New Mexico State, Oklahoma, Oregon State, San Diego State, Sonoma State, UNLV, Washington State and Wisconsin.
Top-ranked UCLA and No. 9 Oklahoma State are the highest-rated teams in the field, according to the latest Golfweek/Sagarin poll.
Stanford is expected to start a lineup consisting of (in order) junior Sally Watson, sophomore Marissa Mar, freshman Mariko Tumangan, senior Lila Barton and junior Kristina Wong.
Stanford has participated in the previous two Bruin-Wave Invitationals, which were held at the Robinson Ranch Golf Club in Santa Clarita, finishing eighth in 2010 and fourth last year.
Wong tied for fourth in last year's event with a score of 216, four strokes behind medalist Lee Lopez of UCLA.
The Cardinal is coming off a second place finish at the Peg Barnard Invitational, which was held February 18-19 at Stanford Golf Course. Stanford opened the spring with a seventh place showing at the Wildcat Invitational.
