SANTA CLARITA, Calif. - Stanford saved its best round at the Bruin-Wave Invitational for the final day, as the Cardinal shot a team score of 291 to secure a fourth place finish.

Stanford's final round 291 was a nine stroke improvement from Tuesday's score and also marked the second lowest score turned in by any team in the field over the final 18 holes.

UCLA won the team event with a four-under 860, 20 strokes clear of second place Arizona, which finished 16 over. Pepperdine placed third at 881 (+17), 14 strokes in front of Stanford.

Sophomore Kristina Wong shot a final round two-under 70 to finish tied for fourth. She had three birdies and one bogey on her card on Wednesday.

Wong finished four strokes behind medalist Lee Lopez of UCLA, who took medalist honors with a four-under score of 212. Bruins occupied the top three spots on the leaderboard, as Glory Yang (-3) and Stephanie Kono (-2) placed second and third, respectively.

Sophomore Sally Watson tied for 21st at 225 (+9) after carding a 74 on Wednesday. She was two-under after 13 holes but was +4 over her final six holes.

Freshman Marissa Mar tied for 26th at 227 (+11) after shooting a 73 on Wednesday.

Senior Rebecca Durham was two-under on her round through 10 holes on her way to a final round 74, which left her tied for 33rd at 230 (+14).

Junior Sydney Burlison also had a hot round going, as she was one-under through 13 holes on her way to a final round 76. She tied for 45th at 232 (+16).
