STANFORD, Calif. -
The Stanford golf programs released the 2013 summer schedule for the 27th annual Stanford Golf Camp, one of the longest-running junior golf camps in the country.
Stanford Golf Camp's 2013 summer schedule features five half-day to full-day sessions with men's and women's head coaches Conrad Ray and Anne Walker, respectively, along with assistant coaches Philip Rowe and Kathryn Imrie.
The camp will be offered at the Siebel Varsity Golf Training Complex, a state-of-the-art practice facility adjacent to the Stanford Golf Course.
Boys and girls ages 5-17 of all skill levels will get the opportunity to advance all aspects of their game, including putting, chipping, pitching, sand shots and full swing. Course management, rules, etiquette and club fitting are also covered.
Beyond the private facilities and the world-class golf instruction, the coaches combine for two decades worth of coaching experience.
Ray, in his ninth season as The Knowles Family Director of Men's Golf, has been part of the Stanford Golf Camp tradition for almost a decade. During his tenure, he produced 14 All-Americans, one Pac-10 Player of the Year, one Pac-10 Scholar Athlete of the Year, two Pac-10 Freshmen of the Year, 10 first team All-Pac-10 selections and eight first team all-academic honorees. His teams made five appearances in the NCAA Championships and captured the school's eighth national title in 2007.
In her first season, Walker begins her career at the camp as The Margot and Mitch Director of Women's Golf. Walker previously served as women's golf head coach at UC Davis, where she transformed the team from NCAA Division II to a competitive powerhouse in the NCAA Division I level. The three-time Big West Coach of the Year led her team to its first-ever top-20 national ranking and produced two Big West Conference titles, as well as appearances in the NCAA finals.
Assistant coaches Rowe and Imrie both enter their third years at the Stanford Golf Camp. Imrie had a 17-year professional playing career, where she became the first Scot to win the LPGA title in 1995, a two time Solheim Cup player, and, at one point, held nine course records around the world. Rowe toured internationally for eight years, competing in the Professional Circuit in France and winning world-wide tournaments including the Open de La Réunion twice.
