Stanford Captures Team Title at Women's Intercollegiate

Freshman Hilary Homeyer Wins First Collegiate Tournament

STANFORD, Calif.--Stanford carded a five-under par 287 in the final round of play to take the team title at the Stanford Women's Intercollegiate played at the Stanford Golf Course (Par 73, 6190 Yards). The tournament win was the first for Stanford this season. Cardinal freshman Hilary Homeyer shot a two-under par 71 in the final round to take the individual title, the first of her collegiate career, with a 54-hole total 211.

Arizona State finished in second place at 878 followed by Arizona at 886. Oregon finished fourth at 892 while LSU rounded out the top five at 893. A.J. Eathorne of New Mexico State finished three strokes behind Homeyer at 214 followed by Grace Park of Arizona State at 216. Jennifer Hubbard of SMU, Lisette Lee of LSU and Stanford's Jae Jean Ro tied for fourth at 217.

Stanford freshman Stephanie Keever and junior Michelle Sperry tied for 13th at 222. Sophomore Julie Dunn finished 18th at 223 followed by freshman Jessica Belskis in 22nd place at 224. Junior Jenny Pippin shot a 234 to finish 63rd while freshman Lauren Robertson finished 86th at 242.

Stanford will compete in the GolfWorld Palmetto Dune Invitational on Nov. 14-16 in Hilton Head, S.C.
