Cardinal Leads After Two Rounds of Women's Intercollegiate
STANFORD, Calif.--The Stanford women's golf team took over the lead after carding a 10-under par 282 in the second round of the Stanford Women's Intercollegiate played at the Stanford Golf Course (Par 73, 6190 Yards). Stanford's second round score tied the 18-hole tournament record set by San Jose State in 1993. Stanford, who is six-under par for the tournament, leads second place Arizona State by nine strokes. LSU is in third place at 591.
Stanford freshman Hilary Homeyer took over the individual lead after recording a six-under par 67 in the second round. Her 36-hole total 140 is three strokes ahead of New Mexico State's A.J. Eathorne (143). Lisette Lee of LSU is in third place at 144.
Cardinal sophomore Jae Jean Ro is tied for 8th at 147 while sophomore Julie Dunn and freshman Jessica Belskis are tied for 15th at 148. Freshman Stephanie Keever moved into 32nd place (151) after firing a four-under par 69 in the second round. Junior Michelle Sperry (T32 - 151) and freshmen Jenny Pippin (T61 - 156) and Lauren Robertson (T83 - 160) played as individuals.
The final round of the Stanford Women's Intercollegiate will begin with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start on Sunday.
