Stanford, Homeyer Finish Second at Ihlanfeldt Invitational
REDMOND, Wash.--The Stanford women's golf team shot a
seven-over par 295 in the final round to finish in second place
at the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational played at the par 72, 5820
yard Sahalee Country Club in Redmond, Wash. Cardinal freshman
Hilary Homeyer finished in second place at 213 after shooting a
two-under par 70 in the final round. Freshman Stephanie Keever
finished seventh at 220.
Tulsa took the team title with a tournament record 881. Their
scored broke the record of 885 set by Stanford last season.
Oregon finished third at 901 followed by Southern California
and San Jose State in fourth at 908.
Individually, Christina Kuld of Tulsa captured the individual
title with a five-under par 211. Homeyer finished second (213)
followed by Monica Stratton of San Jose State, Paula Patterson
of Oregon and A.J. Eathorne of New Mexico State at 218.
Stanford will host the Stanford Women's Intercollegiate on
October 24-26 at the Stanford Golf Course.
