Cardinal Women's Golf Tied for 11th

STANFORD, Calif.--The University of Arizona women's golf team is in first place after firing a two-under par 290 in the first round of NCAA Women's Golf West Regional played at the Stanford Golf Course (Par 73, 6093) in Stanford, Calif. Grace Park of Arizona State is on top individually after carding a five-under par 68 in the opening round.

Arizona State and Tulsa are tied for second place at 293 while Texas and Southern California are tied for fourth place at 297. Stanford is tied for 11th place at 301.

Niina Laitinen of Tulsa is two strokes out of the individual lead at 71. Kellee Booth of Arizona State, Jenny Glasgow of Pepperdine, Jessica Krantz of San Jose State, Nicole Dalkas of USC and Krissie Register of Arizona are in third place at 71.

The 54-hole tournament continues through Saturday.
