RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, Calif. -- Stanford freshman Hilary Homeyer is tied for second place at even-par 72 after the first round of play at the Pac-10 Women's Golf Championships played at the Tijeras Creek Golf Club (Par 72, 6,120 Yards) in Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif. Stanford is tied for seventh at 313.
Arizona leads all teams at two-over par 290. Arizona State is in second place at 296 followed by Southern California at 302. Washington is in fourth place at 303. Oregon rounds out the top five at 309.
Arizona's Jenna Daniels is on top individually at three-under par 69. Homeyer and Jeanne Marie Busttil of Arizona State are tied for second at 72. Arizona's Jill Gomric is in fourth place at 73 while eight women are tied for fifth place at two-over par 74.
Stanford sophomore Jae Jean Ro is tied for 17th at 76. Freshman Stephanie Keever is tied for 26th at 78 followed by Jessica Belskis in 49th place at 87. Sophomore Julie Dunn is in 50th place at 89.
The 54-hole Pac-10 Championship continues through April 22.
