The Stanford women's golf team shot a 300 on the second day of competition at the PING/ASU Invitational at the Karsten Golf Course in Tempe, Arizona. The Cardinal's two-round total of 605 puts them in 10th place heading into tomorrow's final round. UCLA leads the field with a 578, followed by host-Arizona State (582), Pepperdine (593), California (593) and Washington (598).
ASU's Louise Stahle shot a 68 today and leads all individuals with a six-under 138. UCLA's Susie Mathews is second with a 140 while Bruin Amie Cochran is third (142).
Kelly Husted continues to lead the Cardinal charge and is tied for 19th individually with a four-over 148 (75-73). Teammate Lauren Todd is tied for 28th with a 150 (76-74). Senior Wendra Liang shot a 77 today to bring her two-day total to 153 to sit in a tie for 40th. Stephanie Lue checks in tied for 47th with a 154 (78-76). Stanford's Jennifer Tangtiphaiboontana is tied for 51st with a 155 (78-77). Jenna Seki, competing as an individual, is tied for 84th (84-79--163).
Action concludes tomorrow with tee times beginning at 7:30 a.m. The Cardinal will begin teeing off at 8:58 a.m. from the 10th tee.
