Travlos notched her second hat trick of the season and third of her career, leading an eye-popping offensive onslaught as the Cardinal dismantled Appalachian State 9-0 in the opening round of the 2009 NorPac Championship at the Varsity Turf.

On the eve of the 12th annual NorPac Championship, the Stanford field hockey program was well-represented with a league-best nine all-conference selections as announced at the annual awards banquet. Among the highlights: junior Xanthe Travlos earning Stanford's second straight Player of the Year honor and freshman Becky Dru extending the Cardinal's stranglehold on the Rookie of the Year award to seven seasons.
