STANFORD, Calif.- Six games remain in the regular season for No. 17 Stanford, which returns to action on Friday, Oct. 8, hosting Harvard at 5 p.m. in a non-conference matchup.

The Cardinal has won five of its last seven overall, increasing its record to 7-3 while checking in at 3-1 in the NorPac behind West Division leader California at 4-0.

After dropping back-to-back games for the only time this year in mid-September, Stanford has won two straight games. The most recent victory was a 2-1 overtime decision at UC Davis, in which Stephanie Byrne tallied her second game-winning overtime goal of the season to decide the match. As a result, Byrne was awarded NorPac Offensive Player of the Week honors for the second time this year.

Harvard (3-7, 1-2 Ivy League) enters Friday's meeting having won just once over its last eight games.

Fans are reminded to stick around following the game, as Stanford players and coaches will be available to autograph this year's field hockey team poster.
