STANFORD, Calif.- Senior forward Jaimee Erickson has been named the NorPac's Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by the conference on Monday afternoon.
Erickson led a balanced offensive attack for No. 20 Stanford during a 6-0 shutout of Pacific in the season opener for both teams last Friday. Erickson tallied a game-high three points, scoring one goal and chipping in with one assist.
This is the second weekly conference honor of Erickson's career, as she also earned recognition on Sept. 15, 2009, after she scored the game-winning goal in overtime to cap Stanford's 3-2 upset of No. 17 Iowa.
Stanford has been well-represented among NorPac Player of the Week award voting in recent seasons, highlighted by 11 overall selections last year.
Stanford returns to action on Friday, Sept. 3, against UC Davis at 7 p.m. in the home opener at Varsity Turf. The Cardinal's homestand concludes three days later against No. 7 Michigan State at 12 p.m.
