Field Hockey Has 13 Athletes Named To NFHCA Academic Squad

Thirteen Stanford Field Hockey student-athletes have been named to the 2006 NFHCA Academic Squad, ranking the Cardinal fifth in the nation for the number of student-athletes receiving recognition. The University of Louisville boasted the highest team GPA in the nation (3.65), followed by Bucknell University in second (3.45) and Robert Morris University in third (3.43).

The program recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher through the first semester or quarter of the 2005-06 academic year. Stanford student-athletes honored include Chloe Bade, Madison Bell, Julia Drewes, Lyndsay Erickson, Alexandra Fox, Jamie Hais, Missy Halliday, Caroline Hussey, Bailey Richardson, Liz Robinson, Tammy Shuer, Aska Sturdevan and Elizabeth Thompson.
