Stanford Blanks Pacific 6-0
STOCKTON, Calif.-The Pacific Tigers continued their home stand against the Stanford Cardinal, the first conference match of the season. The Cardinal didn't do their part in making it an enjoyable stay at home for the Tigers. Quite simply, Stanford blanked Pacific 6-0.
Stanford was held scoreless for 24 minutes, but that was only the calm before the storm until Monique Leroux lit the fire and made the score 1-0. When all was said and done, Leroux had two goals and an assist, and Lindsay Dunagan tallied three goals for the Cardinal.
Stanford outshot Pacific 18-6, while Jocelyn Castillo and Sandy Jones combined for 12 saves on the afternoon.
Pacific (1-7 overall, 0-1 NorPac conference) concludes a two-match homestand tomorrow morning against UC Santa Barbara at 11:00am on Brookeside Field.
