The second trip to Cardinal Land showcases a visit from puppies, Jasmine Camp's pump-up song, and the return of the Sleep Cam
Dec. 18, 2012
STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford women's basketball takes its fans on a second trip back to "Cardinal Land." In the second episode, guard Jasmine Camp discusses her favorite pregame song, the team gets a morning visit from a pack of playful puppies and Chiney Ogwumike returns with the Sleep Cam.
With final exams finished and the holiday break underway, Ogwumike, Camp, Mikaela Ruef and Taylor Greenfield wish fans the happiest of holidays on behalf of the team with a spirited rendition of "Jingle Bells." Greenfield, Ruef and Erica Payne also get a pre-practice visit from some young canine fans, teaching them some basketball tricks ahead of last Saturday's "Dog Lovers' Day" promotion.
In one of the team's favorite past times on the road, Ogwumike reintroduces the "Sleep Cam" which sneakily catches snoozing members of the team during the various team travels. As Ogwumike likes to say (and tweet!), "No one is safe." But will she get her comeuppance from her teammates this season?
Finally, a big thank you to all of our fans who have made Stanford's Dec. 29 showdown with Connecticut at Maples Pavilion a sell out.
