STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford women's basketball will host a live Twitter chat with junior forward and preseason All-American Chiney Ogwumike Thursday, Dec. 13 from 1-1:30 p.m. PT (4-4:30 p.m. ET).

The chat will utilize the hashtag #StanWBBChat and participants are encouraged to use the hashtag when tweeting their questions to the Twitter handles of Stanford Women's Basketball (@StanfordWBB) and Ogwumike (@Chiney321).

Ogwumike and the top-ranked Cardinal (8-0), currently at the midway point of finals week, end their 13-day break from competition this Saturday, Dec. 15, hosting Pacific at 7 p.m. at Maples Pavilion. The Cardinal puts its national-best 81-game home winning streak on the line in the contest.

Over the first eight games of the campaign, Ogwumike has firmly established herself as one of the leaders of the national player of the year race, averaging 20.9 points and 11.8 rebounds while shooting 63.6 percent from the field. She leads the team in all three categories, as well as with 13 steals on defense.

Prior to the season, Ogwumike was named to the national player of the year watch lists for the Wade Trophy, John R. Wooden Award and Naismith Trophy, in addition to being named to the preseason All-America teams of the Associated Press and ESPN.

The Cypress, Texas native was previously named espnW's inaugural National Player of the Week on Nov. 19 after an MVP performance at the Jack in the Box Rainbow Wahine Classic from Nov. 16-18. In Honolulu, Ogwumike averaged 19.3 points and 11.7 rebounds over Stanford's 3-0 run, including an 18-point, eight-rebound effort in which she provided the winning points with 22 seconds remaining in Stanford's 71-69 victory over then-No. 1/1 Baylor on Nov. 16.

She has also garnered two Pac-12 Player of the Week honors this year, bringing her career total to five.
