The Cardinal Channel has been with the Cardinal from the start of the trip, giving fans extensive behind-the-scenes access as Stanford aims for its 10th Pac-12 Tournament crown.
The Cardinal advanced to the Pac-12 Championship Game for the 12th time out of 12 editions of the event with Saturday's 61-47 semifinal win over No. 18/18 Colorado. Stanford's ninth win over a Top-25 school in 2012-13 featured Chiney Ogwumike going for 25 points and 19 double-doubles, as in just two tournament games she has set the new Pac-12 Tournament rebounding record with 40. Mikaela Ruef bullied her way to 11 points, seven rebounds and four assists while Amber Orrange scored 13 points and helped pace the defense as she made four steals. After trailing at halftime for just the fourth time all season, the Cardinal clamped down on the Buffaloes, holding Colorado to just 22.9-percent shooting in the second half.
UCLA, meanwhile, upended No. 5/5 California 70-58 Saturday night to punch its fourth ticket to the championship game. The Bruins are led by the play of Atonye Nyingifa (11.5 ppg, 7.0 rpg) and Markel Walker (10.6 ppg, 7.3 rpg), as Walker scored 23 points to lead four Bruins players in double digits against the Golden Bears.
