Six Pack - The Roommate

March 6, 2012

STANFORD, Calif. - In episode three of Stanford women's basketball's web series "Six Pack," Cardinal freshman Jasmine Camp lets viewers in on dorm life and, along with her roommate, 2010 U.S. champion figure skater and Olympian Rachael Flatt, talks about the hustle and bustle of balancing athletics and academics.

Camp and Flatt discuss how often (or is it how little?) they see each other on a daily basis due to their athletic and academic commitments, and bring viewers into their residence hall for a quick tour of their floor, room and fellow students and residents.

Camp, from Ellenwood, Ga., is currently recovering from season-ending foot surgery due to a stress fracture in her left foot. In 2011-12 she saw action in eight games, starting four, averaging 3.6 points, hitting four 3-pointers and passing out 17 assists.

She showed her potential on the national stage when she scored 14 points on 5-of-9 shooting (3-for-4 from behind the arc) and passed out three assists in Stanford loss at Connecticut back on Nov. 21.

Flatt, the 2010 U.S. champion, finished seventh at the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver and is currently a freshman at Stanford.
