Stanford Beats No. 15 Washington at Home
Women's basketball wins 90-75

STANFORD, Calif. (AP) - Kristin Folkl scored a career-high 36 points in only
27 minutes to lead No. 13 Stanford to a 90-70 victory over No. 15 Washington on
Saturday night.
It was Folkl's second consecutive personal-best scoring night. Folkl, who is
also an All-American volleyball player, scored 22 points against Washington
State on Thursday night.
Stanford improved its overall record to 10-5 and its league-leading Pac-10
mark to 7-1. The Huskies fell to 12-4 and 3-4.
Folkl seems to have brought some magic with her since she joined the team
Dec. 26 following the Cardinal's NCAA championship volleyball season.
The Cardinal is 8-1 with her in the lineup after starting the season at 2-4.
Folkl finished 14-for-18 from the field and 8-of-13 from the free-throw line.
She also had seven rebounds, three assists and a steal.
Olympia Scott scored 23 points for Stanford and Heather Owen added 10.
Folkl hit eight of 10 field goal attempts in the first half as Stanford took
a 46-35 lead.
Jamie Redd led the Huskies with 20 points, and Amber Hall had 19 points and
10 rebounds.
