Starbird, No. 1 Stanford Storm Past #24 Stephen F. Austin, 85-62

HONOLULU -- Kate Starbird scored 27 points and Vanessa Nygaard added 20 points and 12 rebounds as top ranked Stanford remained undefeated with an 85-62 victory over number 24 Stephen F. Austin in the semifinals of the Hawiian Air Wahine Classic.

Olympia Scott added 14 points and nine boards before fouling out with 2:56 remaining for Stanford (6-0). Jamila Wideman contributed 10 points and six assists for the Cardinal, who shot 53 percent (17-for-32) in the first half en route to a 46-28 lead at halftime.

Stanford will face Michigan in the championship game Sunday. Anitra Davis had 16 points and eight rebounds and Katrina Price added 15 points for Stephen F. Austin (3-1), which will play Hawaii in the consolation game.
