EVANSTON, Ill. - Led by junior Ryan Mango, the Stanford wrestling team finished 25th with 20.5 team points at the 49th annual Midlands Championships, Friday, at Welsh-Ryan Arena in Evanston, Ill.

Wrestling at 133 pounds, Mango placed sixth with a 4-3 record in the tournament. The St. Louis, Mo., native registered two wins on the first day of action. He began Friday with a 5-3 decision over No. 12 Jordan Keller of Oklahoma. He then posted a fall over ninth-ranked Steven Keith of Harvard in 3:53. It was the fourth fall of the season for the junior.

Up next, Stanford plays host to Pac-12 foe Boise State on Thursday, Jan. 5 before welcoming American on Sunday, Jan. 8. Both duals will be held Burnham Pavilion.
