STANFORD, Calif. - The 13th-ranked Stanford wrestling team (2-1-0) plays host to CSU Bakersfield and Menlo College this Sunday, Nov. 13. The Cardinal will face the Roadrunners at 2 p.m. and the Oaks at 4 p.m. in Burnham Pavilion. CSU Bakersfield and Menlo College will wrestle each other at Noon.

The dual against CSU Bakersfield will also be the Pac-12 Conference opener for Stanford. The Cardinal was 4-2 last season in conference duals and finished fourth at the conference championships.

The first 50 fans in attendance on Sunday will receive a free Stanford wrestling t-shirt. Takedown tees will also be thrown out to the loudest fans during the dual. Free team posters will be available and an autograph session will be held following the duals. All Stanford home wrestling competitions are free to the public.

Sunday marks the home opener for the Cardinal, which dropped its season opener at Northwestern on Nov. 5. Stanford bounced back to defeat North Central College, 35-9, and Northern Illinois, 20-13, on Nov. 6.

Senior Nick Amuchastegui and junior Ryan Mango, both All-Americans, have started the season 3-0. Amuchastegui, ranked No. 1 in the nation at 174 pounds, recorded a fall and two major decisions last weekend, while Mango posted three major decisions.

Up next, Stanford will travel to Chattanooga, Tenn., to take on Central Michigan and host Chattanooga on Sunday, Nov. 20. The Cardinal will face the Chippewas at 9 a.m. PT and the Mocs at 11 a.m. PT. It will be a father-son reunion for Stanford head coach Jason Borrelli and his father, Tom, who is the head coach at Cantral Michigan.
