Cedar Falls, Iowa - The NWCA All-Star Classic pits two of the nation's best wrestlers in each weight class against each other and features some of the most competitive wrestling of the year. This year Stanford's Matt Gentry was selected to compete at the event. Fourth-ranked Gentry defeated third-ranked Jake Percival of Ohio to take the title at 157 pounds, winning the match by a score of 13-10.

Gentry took control of the match early. He opened an 8-0 lead, scoring on a pair of take downs and a near fall. Facing defeat, Percival made his move in the third period of action. Percival notched five take downs against Gentry, releasing him in order to score more points. Gentry, however, was able to hang on for the 13-10 victory.

Both wrestlers entered the competition with perfect 30-0 records this season. Gentry returns to the Farm unbeaten for a dual meet against Oregon State University on Saturday, February 7 at 1:00 pm.
