No. 18 Oregon State Tops Stanford, 28-7

STANFORD, Calif -- Eighteenth-ranked Oregon State University (8-4 overall, 3-1 in the Pac-10) increased its winning streak to four with a 28-7 victory over host Stanford University (0-6, 0-3) on Saturday night at Burnham Pavilion. All six of Stanford's losses have come against nationally-ranked opposition.

Oregon State held a 6-4 lead after three matches, and then rolled off four consecutive victories to pull away. Junior Oscar Wood (Gresham, OR/Barlow HS) started that streak by defeating Beau Weiner (Placerville, CA/Ponderosa HS) 7-6 at 142 pounds to earn his 15th win of the season.

Stanford was led by freshman Jason Talbott (LaGrange, KY/Oldham County HS), who posted a 14-5 majority decision over Ryan Sugihara (Aiea, HI/Mid-Pacific Institute HS).
