STANFORD, Calif. - The Stanford wrestling team got a head start on the 2011-12 season Friday at Burnham Pavilion, hosting its Cardinal versus White wrestle-offs. The event is designed to prepare the team for its Nov. 5 season opener at Northwestern. The evening featured nine bouts with 16 wrestlers competing, including the debuts of four Cardinal freshmen.

The following are the results from the event, which the Cardinal team won 19-17:
