Stanford Defeats CS Fullerton, 37-3

STANFORD, Calif. --- Stanford University won its second wrestling match of the season on Friday evening, this time defeating Cal State Fullerton 37-3. Stanford now has a record of 2-8, while Cal State Fullerton fell to 3-8.

Stanford was led by junior Beau Weiner, who defeated Fullerton's Josh Rydbeck 14-2 at 142 pounds. Stanford junior BJ Sanchez, who leads the Cardinal in victories this season, posted his 19th win at 150 pounds in his 5-3 defeat of Fullerton's Carl Sharamitaro.

Tomorrow morning (Saturday, February 7) at 9:00 a.m, both schools will compete in the All-California Invitational at San Francisco State. This invitational determines this year's California collegiate state wrestling champions, vying for the title of which are the seven collegiate wrestling programs in California.
