Stanford Saga
The top-ranked and unbeaten Stanford water polo team faces two more important home games when the Cardinal hosts Pacific (Oct. 24, 7:00 p.m.) and the second-ranked UCLA Bruins (October 27, 10:30 a.m.) ... This will be the first meeting between Stanford and Pacific, while the Cardinal has beaten UCLA twice this year by scores of 10-6 and 7-4 ... Stanford freshman Tony Azevedo continues to lead the Cardinal in scoring with 40 goals ... Other double-digit scorers are Brian Darrow (14 goals), Pasi Dutton (13), Peter Hudnut (13), and Jeff Nesmith (10) ... Two-time All-America goalkeeper Nick Ellis has 82 saves in eleven games, an average of 7.5 per game.
