2011 MPSF All-Academic List

STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford men's water polo had 14 team members named to the MPSF All-Academic List, the conference announced Friday.

Representing the Cardinal on the list were: Alex Avery (3.72), Ryan Brown (3.25), Conner Cleary (3.44), Sam Finlayson (3.79), Ian Gamble (3.15), Ryan Kent (3.31), Andrew LaForge (3.56), Travis Noll (3.70), Brian Pingree (3.56), Paul Rudolph (3.21), Peter Sefton (3.36), Jacob Smith (3.57), Austin Trinkle (3.56) and Forrest Watkins (3.22).

For Kent, the announcement marked his fourth nod onto the list. LaForge, Noll, Sefton and Smith earned their third selections, while it marked the second for Avery, Brown, Pingree, Rudolph and Watkins. Cleary, Finlayson, Gamble and Trinkle all earned their first nods.

The Cardinal finished the 2011 season with a 19-7 overall record (5-3 in the MPSF) and a No. 4 national ranking.
