Third-Ranked Stanford Defeats 14th-Ranked UC Davis

STANFORD, Calif. - Four different Stanford players scored two points to lead the third-ranked Stanford water polo team to a 12-9 victory over 14th ranked UC Davis in a non-conference game saturday at deGuerre Pool.

Brian Heifferon, David Hay, Crosby Grant and Jeremiah Robison each scored two points as Stanford upped its season record to 16-5.

UC Davis, led by Mike Gotelli with four goals, dropped its season record to 12-18.

Stanford hosts second-ranked USC on sunday at noon.
