Stanford, Ca - Andrew Drake scored three goals while Drac Wigo added two more to lead the fourth-ranked Stanford men's water polo team to an 11-4 victory over 11th-ranked Navy in the opening game of the 2006 NorCal Tournament on Saturday at the Avery Aquatic Center.

Eight different Cardinal players scored goals as the Cardinal upped its season record to 4-0. Navy fell to 6-3.

Stanford will face the winner of the Pacific-Long Beach State at 3:10 p.m. on Saturday.

Thomas Hale and J.W. Kumpolz each scored four goals to lead second-ranked and defending NCAA champion USC to a 22-4 victory over Santa Clara. The Trojans jumped to a 7-0 lead after the first period and extended the lead to 10-0 at halftime.

Brian McShane and Matt Reynolds each scored three goals to lead Loyola Marymount to an 11-8 victory over UC Santa Barbara. The Lions jumped to a 3-0 lead after the first period, and although the Gauchos scored five times in the second period, LMU still led at halftime, 6-5.

Matt Turnbeull scored five goals and Duje Kaurioto added four more to lead Pacific to a 14-12 victory over Long Beach State. Pacific lead after the first and second periods, but a five goal outburst in the third period allowed the 49ers to tie the game at 11-11 after three periods.

UCLA dominated play from start to finish. The Bruins led 4-1 at the end of the first period, 8-1 at halftime and 11-1 at the three periods. Krosto Sbutega led the UCLA attack with four goals. Nine Bruins scored at least one goal.
