Five Cardinal student-athletes were named to the MPSF All-Academic Men's Volleyball team, as announced by Commissioner Al Beaird. To be eligible for selection, a student-athlete must have a 3.0 overall grade-point average and a significant contributor. An athlete is also not eligible its freshman season for the honor.

Stanford is coming off a 17-11 season and a berth in the MPSF Conference tournament. The team improved 14 games from the 2007 season in which they went 3-25. The Cardinal will return all but two letterwinners and will welcome a highly rated recruiting class for the Class of 2012.

Stanford tied for second with Pacific, who got seven members on the All-Academic team.
