HONOLULU - Devin Poolman had 20 kills and Andy Witt had 16, but it wasn't enough as the Stanfrod Cardinal fell in three straight games to the University of Hawaii, 15-8, 15-1 and 15-7 on Friday. The game was the first in a weekend trip to the big island. The Cardinal drop to 17-5 overall, 11-3 in the Pac 10. The Rainbows improve to 12-5, 11-4 in the WAC.
Stanford hit .230 for the match, Hawaii doubled it and then some with a scalding .509. While Poolman and Witt had the Cardinal on their shoulders, the 'Bows were evenly led. Naveh Milo and Jason Salmeri each had 15 kills, Andre Breuer and Dejan Miladinovic followed with 14. Milo also had 12 digs for Hawaii, who had 14 blocks versus Stanford's four.
