Fifth-Ranked Men's Volleyball Upset

STANFORD, Calif.- Andy Witt recorded a career-high 51 kills, but the fifth-ranked Stanford men's volleyball team dropped a 16-14, 14-16, 15-11, 9-15, 15-10 decision to 13th-ranked Loyola Marymount in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation match Saturday afternoon at Maples Pavilion.

Witt's kill total was second all-time for a match in Stanford history. Tad Hoffman added 24 for the Cardinal, which saw its season record fall to 7-2 overall and 6-2 in the MPSF.

Reid Priddy recorded 33 kills for the Lions, while Jason Lee and Tim Farmer added 29 apiece.

Loyola Marymount raised its season record to 4-3 overall and 4-3 in league play.
