No. 6 Stanford Rebounds for 3-1 Win
Cardinal record remains unblemished with win over #13 Pacific.

STOCKTON, Calif. - After dropping game one, the defending national champion Stanford men's volleyball team rebounded to take the next three games and defeat the 13th-ranked University of the Pacific 11-15, 15-9, 15-11, 15-13. The sixth-ranked Cardinal improved to 4-0 overall and 3-0 in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation. Pacific dropped to 4-2 (2-1 MPSF).
Sophomore outside hitter Andy Witt (Santa Ynez, CA/Santa Ynez HS) paced five Cardinal with double-digit kills with a match-high 32. Three Cardinal players posted 20-plus kills. Senior middle blocker Keenan Whitehurst (Fresno, CA/San Joaquin Memorial HS) hit a season-high .621 (20-2-29) while freshman setter Josh Lukens (San Diego, CA/Mt. Carmel HS) tallied a career-high 100 assists.
Stanford will return to action on Friday, February 5 when it hosts Trinity Western at 7:00 p.m. in Burnham Pavilion.
