TULSA, Okla.- John Morrissey posted a 6-3, 6-1 victory over Chris Camillone of Texas on Monday afternoon, highlighting the first day of qualifying singles action at the ITA All-American Championships.
Morrissey will next face David O'Leary of Memphis on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. PT. O'Leary is the tournament's No. 21 seed.
Matt Kandath, Stanford's second entrant in the field, was defeated 6-0, 6-1 by Denver's Jens Vorkefeld on Monday.
Kandath and Morrissey will also pair up in doubles. The duo has earned a first-round bye and is scheduled to play its second round match at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
