Stanford Captures Titles at Rolex Tennis Regionals

STANFORD, CA - Stanford players swept the singles and doubles titles at the Rolex Regional Tennis Championships that concluded today at the Taube Family Tennis Stadium.

In the singles championship, it was an all-Stanford final, with No. 2 seed Mike Bryan defeating freshman and No. 3 seed Alex Kim, 6-3, 6-0. In doubles, it was a fitting end, with a Stanford-Cal matchup for Big Game week. Bryan and his twin brother Bob defeated Nathan Jackmon and Bobby Mahal of Cal, 4-6, 6-4, 6-3. The winners of the tournament are automatically qualified to compete in the Rolex Indoor Championships in Dallas, TX in February.
