Stanford Players Advance to Main Draw of All-American Tourney

AUSTIN, Texas - Two members of the Stanford men's tennis team advanced to the main draw of the ITA Reebok All-American Tournament, hosted by the University of Texas. Mike Bryan and Alex Kim each won two matches to qualify for the main draw.

Today, Bryan defeated Jordan Wyle of Duke 6-2, 7-6, while freshman Alex Kim defeated Eric Drew of Washington 7-6, 6-3. The main draw begins play tomorrow with two rounds of singles and one round of doubles. Sophomore Bob Bryan, twin brother of Mike Bryan, received an automatic berth into the singles main draw. The Bryans will compete as a doubles team at the tournament, the only doubles team from Stanford.
