Stanford, Calif. - No. 1 Georgia and No. 2 Pepperdine both advanced to the NCAA Championship match tomorrow with victories in today's semifinals. The Bulldogs are now 30-0 and attempting to win their fifth national title in men's tennis. They beat fifth-seed Baylor 4-3. Pepperdine is attempting to win their first NCAA title. They advanced with a 4-1 victory over No. 3 Texas. Georgia lost the doubles point to Baylor, then came back to win for of six singles to secure the win. The clinching match came for the Bulldogs came at No. 4 singles when Matic Omerzel won 6-3 in the third set over Baylor's Will Ward. The two teams square off for the 2006 national championship at 6:30 pm PT at the Taube Tennis Center.
