STANFORD, Calif.--The No. 1 ranked Stanford men's tennis team shutout Boise State, 6-0 on Tuesday afternoon at the Taube Family Tennis Stadium on the campus of Stanford University. The doubles matches were canceled due to rain. The Cardinal improves to 22-0 overall.
Stanford sophomore Bob Bryan led the Cardinal at the number one singles position, defeating Tsolak Gevorkian, 6-3, 6-7, 6-2. Bryan, the No. 9 player in the nation, improves to 17-1 in dual match play. He is 7-0 when playing the number one position.
With the win, the Cardinal improves its winning streak to 32. The streak dates back to last season's run to the NCAA Championship.
Stanford will close out the regular season in Los Angeles next weekend. Stanford will face USC on Apr. 17 at 1:30 p.m. followed by UCLA on Apr. 18 at noon.
